There are a multitude of reasons why you might be experiencing hair loss or hair thinning, whether it’s genetics, problems with your scalp, heat and overstyling, hormones or lifestyle factors such as diet and stress.

Hair loss and hair thinning can happen at any stage of your life and can affect your self confidence and self image.

I am a fully qualified, licensed professional who specialises in Microneedling for hair loss.

There can be many reasons why your hair can start to gradually thin.. stress, medication age or hormones. You'll see fantastic results from hair rejuvenation therapy.

Whether used as a stand-alone treatment (or combined with alternative hair loss medication or after a hair transplant) this is a powerful and effective way to promote healthy hair growth.

How it works

Microneedling is a treatment to produce increased amounts of collagen, which will replenish hair growth by regenerating hair follicles and nourishing hair proteins.

A Microneedling Pen which contains small needles is used.  The needles pierce the skin and cause wounds, without bleeding, which helps produce more collagen for healthy hair and new skin cells as they heal, helping strengthen hair follicles.

Some of the latest research has shown that microneedling improves the efficiency of topical medications used on the scalp, like minoxidil for the treatment of androgenic alopecia and triamcinolone for the treatment of alopecia areata. As well as creating impressive results as a standalone treatment.

The way microneedling works when used as a combination therapy is by creating micro channels in the scalp, which improves absorption of topical treatments.

When the potent serum is applied following microneedling, it makes its way down the micro channels, caused by the small punctures in the skin. The micro channels prevent the medication being blocked by the top layer of the skin and support it on its journey to the level where the hair follicles exists. This intensifies the results of the medication, creating greater results, often quicker!

Microneedling is an effective, minimally invasive treatment for men and women suffering from general hair loss or thinning as well as those suffering from androgenic alopecia, alopecia areata and alopecia barbae.

How is microneedling performed?

During microneedling, we use a pen-like device. On the tip of the pen we fit a special needle head, tailoringthe needle depth to the area of your treatment, and your skin condition. We then prepare the scalp, ensuring it is clean before applying the pen to the skin and creating micro-injuries that stimulate the body’s natural healing factors.

How often will I need microneedling?

Typically, microneedling is performed once a week for 6 weeks then maintenance 2/4 weekly as appropriate... but your treatment regime will be tailored depending on the condition of your hair and your desired outcome.

What can I expect?

You can expect to see improved hair and scalp condition and hair density, the speed in which results will appear will depend on the severity of your hair loss.

How long does the treatment take?

The procedure itself might take around 20-30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

What aftercare do I need?

You are asked to avoid washing the area, extreme exercising and direct sunlight for the few days following the procedure. Ensuring you are sleeping on a clean pillow case to reduce the risk of infection.

You will be given full homecare products including a glycolic wash, hydrating serum and a regenerative skin cocktail to enhance your results.

During the healing process, the treatment area undergoes a 3 phase repair process: inflammation, proliferation, then remodelling.

Inflammation

Triggers your immune system to disinfect, remove debris and start to create new tissue

Proliferation

The body develops new blood cells, on top of the wound being rebuilt with new granulation cells

Remodelling

New dermal tissues and blood vessels replace the wound

This is a virtually pain free process.

Microneedling treatments for hair loss can be as quick as 30 minutes and are very effective.

If you are looking for a non-invasive, non-surgical hair loss treatment, Microneedling is a very effective choice.

Our Customers Say....

My hair started to thin as I approached the menopause. I felt really self conscious and had tried a load of thickening shampoos but nothing had made any difference.

I tried a hair rejuvenation session on the recommendation of a friend and I am so glad I did! From the first treatment, my thin patches started to grow wispy hairs. I went back every week for six weeks and each time, my hair grew thicker and my balding patches started to grow again.  I continue with monthly maintenance sessions and I am losing much less hair down the plughole.

It truly is a fabulous treatment.
